Cultivate and Level in a Single Pass!

The STM Harrow lets you cultivate and level in a single pass. Second and third tillage passes are eliminated saving time and fuel costs. Since the STM is mounted directly to the field cultivator, there is no need to get off the tractor to convert to transport position or vice versa. Simply fold or unfold the field cultivator as you normally would and you are ready to go.

Don’t Just Scratch the Surface ... Stir It!

This harrow outperforms coil tine and other harrows because they closely hug the ground. The five rows of teeth spaced on 9" centers provides the contact area to level the toughest field conditions. The STM is heavy enough to level and stir the soil thoroughly, yet the flexible design won’t plug up with field residue. A heavy-duty version of the STM, with thicker wall tube construction, is available to work heavy ground into a smooth and firm seedbed. If that isn’t enough, an eight bar version is also available that gives an impressive 10 teeth per foot coverage. For any field condition and for any make or model of field cultivator, there is an STM Mounted Harrow to fit your needs.

Heavy-Duty Harrow Sections

The fully flexible harrow sections are heavy enough to level yet won’t plug. High-carbon steel diamond shaped teeth are set at 9" centers to prevent sections from plugging in heavy residue. Strong flexible connectors provide excellent durability and wear resistance. The heavy-duty sections feature thicker walled tubing to give added weight and leveling action. The 8-bar section option produces an even greater leveling capacity with 10 feet per foot. All sections have built in dual pitch setting. Pulled from one direction, the teeth are set for aggressive harrowing, pulled from the other direction they are set for less aggressive harrowing.

CTM

Finish Field Work Faster!

The McFarlane CTM series is designed to provide that last finishing touch for your chisel plows. The CTM series well help smooth out and level your fields in the fall so you can spend less time in the field in the Spring. The 3-Bar is used for units with disc levelers, the 4-Bar for chisel plows and rippers, and the 5-Bar for disc ripper and disc combination tools.

V-Frame Mounting

McFarlane’s 4-Bar Mounted harrow can also be attached to V-Frame rippers. Specialized mounting brackets are designed to carry the CTM Harrow for trouble-free operation. Available for most makes/models and special amounts are available upon request.

Additional Packages Available

Mounted Rolling Basket

Level and condition in a single pass!

Following behind your field cultivator or finisher, the wide spiral blades of the rolling baskets toss soil high enough to separate soil. Finer, firmer soil settles into the seedbed while small clods remain on the soil surface to resist erosion, evaporation and crusting. What’s left behind is a firm, level bed ready for planting. The rolling basket works in a wide variety of soils. Its unique spring tension adjustment allows downward pressure to be regulated according to soil type. This permits the tillage tool to achieve optimum performance regardless of soil conditions.

McFarlane’s Spur-Till™’s high-speed treader option can be easily added to the Incite® 5100 Series and Cobra Reel Disk for a more aggressive and smoother finish.

The innovative Spur-Till design provides growers an effective tool for finishing fields following heavy tillage. Our unique approach to managing the tools impact makes changes to tool height and down pressure very simple. Plus, a hydraulic lift adds convenience to quickly disengage from the soil when not needed. McFarlane also provides retro fit kits to add the Spur-Till your current Incite or Cobra Reel Disk to allow for fewer passes through the field.
